I
am currently a Certified SSI Dive Control Specialist and Assistant
Instructor aiding our many talented scuba instructors. I began diving in
June 2005 with my open water certification and haven’t stopped since.
After my OW certification I continued on with my Advanced Open Water
certification which included Night, Enriched Air (Nitrox), Deep Diving,
and Navigation. Soon after I completed my AOW, I continued on with Stress
and Rescue and Search & Rescue certifications. In March 2009 I completed
the Dive Control Specialist course under Gene Cook.
I enjoy diving in all types of environments! Everything from black water river dives to cavern diving, wreck diving, cold water diving, and night diving. All including open ocean, lakes, rivers, and quarries. Each one providing a new diving experience and increasing my diving knowledge.
I am also a volunteer diver with the world’s largest aquarium, the
Georgia Aquarium. I have been diving in both the Ocean Voyager tank and
Cold Water tanks for 2 years. I have a simple philosophy…the more you
dive, the better you get!
